World Health Organization: Solomon Islands Health Sector Role Delineation Strategic Framework

Drawing on a long association with the Solomon Islands, Akaltye is proud to have supported the Solomon Islands Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to guide the long term implementation of the Solomon Islands Role Delineation Policy. The 10 year strategic framework that was developed in partnership with the MHMS sets an ambitious reform agenda to increase access to the majority of the population to quality primary and preventive health care services. The ongoing work is led by the MHMS and supported by health sector Development Partners in the Solomon Islands. Investing in primary health care improvements over the next 10 years will progress the Solomon Islands towards universal health coverage, which is both a Sustainable Development Goal and priority for the Pacific. Tony Kiessler supported this project as health practice lead for Akaltye.
